Obituary

Jutta Kupfer Miller, 77, of Evansville, passed away on Friday, August 5th, 2022, surrounded by family.

Jutta was born December 1st, 1944 in Dresden, Germany to the late Walter and Erika (Jaehnig) Kupfer. In 1963 she came to Evansville as an exchange student and attended Harrison High School, where she was voted homecoming queen and met her husband-to-be, Larry Miller. After graduating with a degree from the Humboldt Gymnasium in Ulm, Germany, she traveled the world as a Lufthansa flight attendant and spoke several languages. After settling down in Evansville she made a point of traveling to Germany and exploring Europe with her family every summer. She worked in the office at Miller Block and Brick for several years and enjoyed her garden, the visitors to her bird feeder and bird bath and knitting, but her family, including her cats, were most important to her. She will be remembered as a very attentive and loving mother, doting grandmother and lover of all creatures great and small.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Ursula.

She is survived by her sister Sigrid Scheck, son, Justin Miller, daughter Marisa Miller Wolfson (David), and grandchildren Renan Havill, Gabriel Wolfson, and Emmeline Wolfson.

Her body will be laid to rest in a private family ceremony at Larkspur Conservation in Tennessee. Memorial contributions may be made to the Vanderburgh Humane Society.
