Obituary

Sharon Thomas Faison, the daughter of Samuel Ellis Thomas and Doris Phipps Thomas, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2020. A private family service will be held for her at Larkspur Conservation in Nashville, Tennessee. Larkspur is a nonprofit chartered by the founder of Thistle Farms, a sanctuary for women to which Sharon has long been devoted. Anyone wishing to honor Sharon can make donations in her name to Thistle Farms or St. Augustine’s Episcopal Chapel through their websites.

Sharon was born on July 2, 1962 in Tampa, Florida and lived in Nashville, Tennessee. Sharon was a loving mother, a committed teacher, and passionate volunteer. Most recently, she was a student in culinary school with hopes of teaching other women how to cook and be in community with one another.

Sharon is survived by her daughters Elisa Landess Faison (Wil Heflin), Emmy Andrea Faison (Jordan Lee), and Eva Marie Faison, her brother Paul Ellis Thomas (May), and her sister Andrea Thomas McCurry (Paul).

She was preceded in death by her parents and by her sister Pamela Thomas Parsons.
