Obituary

Mary was born in Georgetown, TX. to Joe W. Davis and Ethel Weimers Davis on November 2, 1948. She was one of five children, and is survived by one brother, Edward Davis and one sister, Edith Davis Loveland. She is preceded by her parents as well as her sister Beth Hime Davis and brother Gene Davis.

Mary moved to Nashville, TN. with her family at the age of 5 where she later met her husband, Phillip Arnold, while working at Trafco in Nashville where her father was an accountant for many years. She and Phil celebrated 52 years together on June 19th. She had a degree in vocal performance from Peabody University (now Vanderbilt). She loved working with children and had a huge heart, eventually becoming a caretaker.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Jason Arnold (46) and Tirzah Arnold (41).

Mary loved nature, plants, flowers, and trees, which is why she has chosen a natural burial where her body will continue to give back to the earth at Larkspur Conservation in Taylor Hollow. There is no formal funeral service at this time, but if you would like to take a hike to the burial site at any point, you are welcome to do so by following her specific GPS coordinates.
